Phase one of resurfacing work starts in April - NIGHT WORKS AND CLOSURES

Overnight resurfacing work will begin on part of Trafford Road on 9 April as we now move another step closer to the completion of one of Salford’s biggest schemes.

We are improving every junction along the route to boost the capacity of the road for all users and providing better facilities for pedestrians and cyclists to encourage more green travel. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience during this necessary work.

Join our online public information sessions with our teams from SISK, Salford City Council and Transport for Greater Manchester on the below dates to find out the full details of the work and the chance to ask questions:

  • Tuesday 22 March, 11am - 12 noon - Click here to join the meeting
  • Tuesday 22 March, 6pm - 7pm - Click here to join the meeting
  • Wednesday 23 March, 6pm - 7pm - Click here to join the meeting
  • Thursday 24 March, 2pm - 3pm - Click here to join the meeting
  • The meetings will be held via Microsoft Teams. To attend any of the meetings, just click on the link to join the session of your choice.

If you are using a desktop, the meeting will open up in your Chrome or Edge browser window and you will be able to join the meeting as a guest. Please note Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari do not support Teams so you will need to download the Microsoft Teams app onto your computer before the session to join.

If you are using a mobile device, you will need to download the Microsoft Teams app onto your device ahead of the meeting. You do not need to create an account as you will be able to join a guest.

Alongside the session we have created a briefing document detailing when and where work will be carried out, road closures, diversion routes and access/exit routes which you can view by clicking this link.

For more details please go to the Construction Programme/Key Dates section of this scheme.

    Yours faithfully,

    Salford City Council
